Pittsboro Comprehensive Land Use Plan
The Town of Pittsboro adopted its current land use plan in 2001. Road improvements along major corridors continue to decrease the commuting time to major employment centers like UNC Hospitals and Research Triangle Park. This has caused Pittsboro to see increased development pressures, and the Town Board decided to revisit the original plan and craft something that is more in line with current conditions. The Town and the Triangle J Council of Governments are working together to create a new comprehensive plan document for the Town that will identify what the Town wants to become and how to best achieve those goals.
