Socio-Economic Data

A s an input to the Triangle Regional Model, local governments, Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC), and Triangle J work to estimate accurately existing and future Socio-Economic Data (or "SE Data") about people and businesses. These become places people go *to* and come *from* in the trip model. For purposes of the model, the Triangle Region is defined as encompassing the following: Wake, Durham, and Orange Counties, plus portions of several collar counties, including Chatham, Harnett, Johnston, Franklin, and Granville.

About the Data

Data usually encompass population, employment, & housing statistics. The current version of the SE Data has a base year of 2005 and is forecast to 2035. The reports and documentation about how the data were created are located under the tabs for each county along with contact information.

Data is provided by the organizations that created the dataset:

SE Data may be obtained by downloading documents under "Downloads" section to the left or by visiting the creating organizations' websites under "Other Resources" in the same column.
