Socio-Economic Data
A s an input to the Triangle Regional Model, local governments, Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC), and Triangle J work to estimate accurately existing and future Socio-Economic Data (or "SE Data") about people and businesses. These become places people go *to* and come *from* in the trip model. For purposes of the model, the Triangle Region is defined as encompassing the following: Wake, Durham, and Orange Counties, plus portions of several collar counties, including Chatham, Harnett, Johnston, Franklin, and Granville.
About the Data
Data usually encompass population, employment, & housing statistics. The current version of the SE Data has a base year of 2005 and is forecast to 2035. The reports and documentation about how the data were created are located under the tabs for each county along with contact information.
Data is provided by the organizations that created the dataset:
- Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) - SE Data for Franklin, Granville, Harnett, Johnston, & Wake Counties
- Durham-Chapel Hill Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC) - SE Data for Durham & Orange Counties
- Triangle J Council of Governments - SE Data for Chatham County
